I am a wildlife photographer, writer and guide, and have enjoyed over 10 years working in southern Africa’s conservation industry.
My first memories are of animals and the joy of being outdoors. I grew up with an endless fascination for nature. After a career in advertising I followed my heart into the wilderness and became a guide with the world-renowned safari group, Singita.
I’m possibly an introvert – except when it comes to my boundless enthusiasm for the natural world. It’s here that I find myself at home as a storyteller, be it with words or pictures.
I’m particularly interested in animal behaviour and the similarities and differences between species, including ourselves. I have a borderline obsession with felines – and fortunately, this often seems reciprocal! Being sensitive to an animal’s behaviour and able to anticipate its next move gives you a great advantage in photography, and anticipating moments is key to capturing beautiful photographs. I’m also a stickler for the highest ethics when photographing wildlife.
Jenny is a guest guide that visits Singita Pamushana throughout the year to gather stories and photographs from the region to share in our monthly bush stories and snapshots.
