Adiel was born into the Masai tribe in 1972 and he grew up in Arusha, Tanzania.
He learned the ancient survival techniques of his imperial people as a young boy while living out in the open and looking after his father’s cattle. His daily adventures in the veld helped him to hone his observation skills and gain a deep understanding of wild animal habits. This intimate coexistence also ignited his passion for conservation and motivated him to qualify as a tour guide at Mount Meru Tour Guide College after which he joined the Singita team.
Adiel admires the leopard because of its stealth and strength. Although his best and most exciting sighting was a pack of wild dogs killing a young wildebeest, witnessing the wildebeest migration crossing the Mara River is one of the most memorable events of his life.
